Touching on the way

The character rests a hand on columns, walls and railings as it walks past, and slides it along.

With touchables, the character reaches for what is within reach as it walks past (a column, a wall, a bridge railing), rests its palm on it and pulls the hand back without stopping.

The gesture is measured on 30 reaches from the CMU captures: about 0.75 s, with a bell-shaped speed, a slightly curved path and the elbow bent halfway. To find what to touch it casts short rays from where the shoulder is going to be.

Alongside a wall or a railing, the hand slides along it until it ends: it starts still, catches up with the body's speed and lets go at the end, at a corner or if the surface is too curved.
